  • "Archie Alexander is one of Australia's most promising young trainers, with the Englishman already making his mark since setting up his Ballarat stable in 2014."

He's worked all around the world, including for some of racing's biggest names in Aidan O'Brien, Lloyd Williams and in the United States with Todd Pletcher.

Alexander had a number of impressive spring performers in 2017, but it was his emerging staying star Lord Fandango that put his stable in the spotlight, winning the G2 Herbert Power Stakes before finishing fourth in the $3 million Caulfield Cup.

The 31-year-old was recognised with the Cindy Alderson Rising Star award for a Victorian trainer under 40 who has most performed with distinction.
