Mark Zahra has continued to cement himself as one of Victoria's leading senior jockeys, often a key player in the state's big races.
He produced what many thought was the riding performance of the spring, when he made the split-second call to put Merchant Navy back on the inside in the $1 million Coolmore Stud Stakes, proving a winning move.
Originally from Western Australia, the 35-year-old is set to continue his association with Aaron Purcell's star colt and a number of other key runners including Russian Revolution, making him a jockey to certainly keep an eye on this autumn.
