2017 Festival of Racing Wrap Up

This years Festival of Racing has undoubtedly brought the fun and excitement, with the past few weeks being an exhilarating array of top-quality racing, stunning shows of style and one-of-a-kind entertainment. We’ve put together a wrap up of The Festival of Racing’s best bits in case you missed out:

Favourite Racing Moment

This year's Lexus Newmarket Handicap was one for the record books. Trainer David Hayes took out the win with Redkirk Warrior, a Hong Kong racehorse whose career has been marked with feet troubles. At the reigns was 20 year old Regan Bayliss, his first Group 1 win and Hayes' first Newmarket win since 1993!

Favourite Fashion Moment

On Blue Diamond Stakes Day, no one rocked the track better than the stunning Jessie Murphy. Styled by Lana Wilkinson in a white Bec and Bridge number and an Alicia Dash headpiece, Jessie wowed the raceday crowd from the Veuve Clicquot marquee.

Favourite Dining Moment

Flemington's Super Saturday Grazing Trail & Cellar Door made for an epic dining experience this Festival of Racing. Offering the best selection of food and wine from Melbourne's top boutique wineries, breweries and producers, foodies had the change to enjoy produce in a unique cellar door experience.
