The four-year-old returned in style when taking out last December’s Christmas Classic at Randwick under Hugh Bowman, and followed up with an even more impressive win in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes (1200m) at the start of February. Those performances confirmed Alizee’s status as one of the country’s most exciting gallopers, and it would be no surprise to see her add to her tally of two Group 1 wins during the 2019 Festival of Racing.
One of three Godolphin nominees for The All-Star Mile, Alizee has also been nominated by her trainer James Cummings for the Australian Cup (2000m), one of two Group 1s on Super Saturday at Flemington on 9 March.
